Writing Task-2 (IELTS Essay)
Question
Nowadays technology is increasingly being used to monitor what people are saying and doing (for example, through cell phone tacking and security camera) In many cases, people being monitored are unaware that this is happening. What is your viewpoint on it? Give your logic and examples to support your answer.
Answer
These
days, increasing number of different technologies equipped with sophisticated software's
are being mobilized to take continuous update of public activities by various
governmental as well as non-governmental agencies. This essay will explain
about how such monitoring practices through phone and cameras have contributed
on a global basis despite some of its drawbacks.
On
the one hand, with the increasing use of global positioning system on every
communication devices such as cell phone, tablets, it has unraveled the
unnecessary confidential issues on individual as well as organizational level.
There is no any chance or possibility to maintain basic privacy by anyone
whenever connected to these modern technological amenities. For instance,
several hackers have involved in many criminal activities like kidnapping,
child pornography using the access of individual internet domain. Moreover, it
has evoked various social disturbances and vandalism state as people who got
captured within the hidden cameras, got revealed all over the internet nexus.
This in turn, such victims had attempted several suicidal activities. I
strongly agree with the statement that it surely outweigh the disadvantage.
On
the other hand, such tracking system has been proved as precious gift for this
modern era. Firstly, it enables the governmental bodies to get continuous
update about demographic data of citizens. This has helped to plan various
developmental as well a health progress and strategies much effectively and
efficiently. Overall, it has helped to conduct all natural activities smoothly
in every corners of the country, thus promoting a stable national security. For
instance, Chinese government during the COVID pandemic was successful to
control such life threading virus infection among billions of citizens just by
applying such phone tracking and camera monitoring system in past few years. In
addition, it also helps to address various criminal activities and assist to
capture and captivate the culprit quickly and much conveniently.
In
conclusion, through such phone tracking and camera monitoring has brought
certain issues like suicides, social disturbances and privacy leakage, it has
provided many positive and beneficial contribution such as control of several
epidemic and pandemics, making strategic programs on global scale and making
demographic records to access any illegal or criminal and terrorist issues
within a country or around the world.
