The Typical Question
Some people say that music, art and drama are as important as other school subjects, especially at the primary level. Do you agree or disagree?
Introduction to the Essay
Every
child has own concern and interest since childhood. Discovering special gift
from primary school level obviously support children to draft their future
career. However, studying various subjects in childhood may be tedious for
them.
Body of the Essay
Including
primary school core course, engaging in creative arts like music, art and drama
promote kids to find out capacity related to their inheritance. According to
the world famous philosopher Aristotle, education should be purposeful and
should aim at fulfilling the inherent potential of an individual. Music, art
and drama in primary level curriculum support students to express their
thoughts, emotions and ideas in a meaningful way. Because it is the great
opportunity and way of a creative outlet. For instance, drama help to develop
better communication skill, arts experiences boost critical thinking and music
supports to be more creative. In ancient time Greek philosophers applied
creative arts in school curriculum than modern time the scholars do. I think,
in future, it may become as like other compulsory subject in global context. It
is famous for Montessori based school all over the world. In spite of those
advantages, primary school children prefer outdoor games and free learning
environment. They want to spend time with their parents besides school
activities. Thus, it might not work properly for each child. As a result it may
become just time consuming and boring.
Conclusion of the Essay
In
conclusion, children involved in drama, music and arts become automatically
talent in case of learning language and social study. It is beneficial to
launch creative arts in primary school which definitely helps them to gain
knowledge, skill and attitude.
