Covid-19 and Lockdown

The world has been suffering from COVID-19 since the very beginning of 2020. The year was supposed to be decked out as 'Nepal Tourism Year' but became not less than a horror and suffered from this pandemic of the virus.

The entire civilization of the world in the 100 days of virus attack has come into crisis which drifted up the jewels of science and technology. The people are looking for their leaders who are supposed to make a genuine attempt to control and overcome the attack however they do overkill the social propaganda till now. Many people also believe it is not less than the Third World War. The scenario in the beginning was very worse in China; the epicenter was Wuhan Province but now almost recovered.

Western Media in Lockdown

However some prominent western media were busy to highlight as it was solemnly the 'Chinese Virus' but after its travel to Europe they merely watered down their viewpoint. It is circulated from China to Italy, the hub of Europe even though it happened quite off putting. Italy is the centre from where we have the foundations of law and good governance. The language, culture, worldview, religion and so many other foundations are without any doubts are traced back to Roman system. The people felt quite downcast that Roman health and governance system that has been portrayed as failure and pathetic, the time will tell whether it was/is or not. Along with ROME, the big cities of Spain, the country is politically and commercially more independent and does not show big interest on international issues, it enjoys the popularity of language, the Spanish. If we talk literature and art, music and originality Spanish is known as candid and has the unique and most influencing taste all over the world.

Interests of the United States

Now the turn is of the US, there are many casualties and deaths beyond the imagination of world scenarios. Some people from developing countries like India, Nepal and Pakistan assume that the US Government had to dash off so the lock down the country in advance to save the life and finance of the people were gunning for and mucked up but I think how can the leader of the world most powerful country from various aspects as democracy, science and technology, defense, freedom and liberty can impose their most civilized people be confine to forceful lockdown.

Relating to the US, isn't it the smash of individual freedom, and self-consciousness? All the people in United States are educated at least about the epidemic like Corona Viruses. Some leaders might be thinking it could be anonymous ganged up with their associates and hang around to shoot down. These might be some reasons why in the beginning the government did not like to lock down and forceful social distance? How can people expect to become their government be strict and forceful to lock the people inside their houses. Isn't it too simple to tell wash your hand frequently and so on to American People? They couldn't ask for the international support frankly because of this psychological stigma etc. what another campaign of people are believing right now.

Indian Strategies in Lockdown

If we move to India, the leader Modi has announced and maintained whatever he could do according to him about lockdown and people in the initial stage acceded to his appeal and effort which has exceeded almost one month in the country where more than 135 million people live. And Nepalese are watching (on TV) everything about how the most overpopulated country actually handles this, the reason is they cannot help India by any means except maintaining lockdown in border areas and now not only Nepal India also is unable to support its neighboring countries. Furthermore, Indian Media are attempting to brush off both the Chinese and US strategies as shown in one popular movie Peepli live released in 2010 but they also do not have answer about their strategies (Indian Strategies) what happens if the infection will run over continuously. The bigger challenge to Indian authority is to continue the lockdown or terminate it as the infection is gradually going up and now already crossed the number of two with four digits.

Nepalese Scenario in Lockdown

Here in Nepal, the people are much busy in social media and network, however it's not bad to pass their time and be updated and the government and/or some of the leaders are blamed to be busy and trapped in corruption, nobody seems confidence about the exact way to control this pandemic, every individual of the nation seems more aware to point out others rather than to perform whatever s/he can do for the society and nation. Some people say China will be super power in coming future whereas some other think the entire western world including Japan, South Korea and India will control global economy and politics by formulating more unified policy with the western world and they embarked on the attempt to distorting the increased bring into line to the global influence of Chinese trade and commerce and now we already have the symptoms at hand i.e. the recent FDI (Foreign Direct Investment) provision of Indian Government that indirectly has been reflected by adding one point the government consensus in FDI to with-draw their investment from Chinese Market in one side and on the other FDI policy is also targeting to compel Chinese to distract from investing more in Indian manufacturing business.

My Conclusion

The leaders please don’t just stand by and let others have all the fun and complain or you cannot clown around in this pandemic. It’s time to strike out on your own and do something completely different more suitable for your context. As it is said sweep aside all your inhibitions and start living life to the full for the wellbeing of self, your people and others. With reference to the medication to Covid-19 you need to test it out in large sample soon before launching it. You better know what and how you can do things whatever you can. If you think you can't do anything just stay home i.e. a big support against the Virus.
